Homeless pets need your donation!

Each year, we are flooded with innocent dogs, cats, puppies and kittens in need of loving homes. We are a no-kill animal shelter devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating, spaying and neutering and finding permanent homes for the animals in our care. And they all have their own story. Cooler with Wheels (or similar unit) for The Spamer Mobile Adoption Unit • updated candy vending machine that accepts bills • walkie talkies for use during fundraising events • updated graphics for The Spamer Mobile Adoption Unit & orphanage banner • new locations for our donation boxes • new locations for donation cottages • unused medications • animal safe cat and dog toys (such as Kongs, stuffed animals specifically designed for pets, jingle balls for cats, etc.) • Science Diet food (adult dog, puppy, adult cat or kitten) • towels, blankets, or machine-safe small pet beds) • resale items (we work to recycle anything from scrap metal and rags to fine china and beautiful antiques, all to help pets!) • color scanner/printer that can scan multiple pages at once for orphanage administrative duties • color scanner/printer for shop • volunteers

"To link your Kroger Plus card to East Lake Pet Orphanage (a percentage of your eligible purchases will be donated to help the orphans!), present your Kroger Plus Card to the Kroger cashier at the beginning of your transaction.  The cashier will scan your card, then scan the barcode for East Lake Pet Orphanage that you provide.  Your Kroger Plus Card will then be linked for the remainder of the program year (the current program is effective from July 1, 2009 through April 30, 2010).

You can make changes to your Reward Card by completing a Good Neighbor Program form, then taking it to your local Tom Thumb Customer Service Desk.  You only have to do this once, then simply hand over your card as you check out after each shopping trip!
