Juan has been a key player on the East Lake team for over 10 years. His love for animals shows in everything he does. In addition to providing a great home for Sebastian, Anna, & Sam, his three cocker spaniels, and Scooby (chihuahua) & Snoopy (pit bull mix), Juan is also spreading the word about responsible pet ownership as a TV spokesperson for the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Foundation in cooperation with the City of Dallas in Spanish language PSA's.

Juan's desire to help homeless animals is evident at East Lake too, since he is especially good with our older animals that require special care.

There's another side to Juan as well. In 1986, this graduate of Dallas Health Professions Magnet School won third place in the annual White Rock marathon wheelchair race and was voted MVP for five consecutive years as a member of the world champion wheelchair basketball team.
