Dr. Karen Fling, owner of East Lake Veterinary Hospital, is a native Dallasite. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas and is a veterinary graduate of Texas A & M. Dr. Fling’s special medical interests include allergies, ophthalmology and dentistry. She is a member of the American Veterinary Dental Society.

Dr. Fling and her husband, Dr. David Hille, are the proud parents of Anneliese, 5 years old, Ian who is three and Gabriel, 1 years old. The family also includes 4 dogs -Tuffy, Winkie, Sandy and Grimsley , two cats-Puff and Ollie, two guinea hens and a fish.

Dr. Fling’s hobbies include gardening, antiquing, ice skating, rollerblading and spending time with her family and pets. Most people do not know that Dr. Fling has done commercial landscaping and was married to her husband, also a veterinarian, at sunrise in Puerto Rico.
